We launched our new function room ‘Gallery 26’ in the spring of 2009 aimed especially at weddings. We know from years of talking to brides that you are often looking for a wedding venue that is different, something very special and with the help of a very talented local architect we feel that is what we have created with Gallery 26. A stunning , unique modern function room with contemporary decor, mood lighting and a huge feature glass wall through which can be seen the architectural splendour of the adjoining Tavistock Abbey Chapel. Modern stained glass is a feature on the original stone wall where the Abbott used to have his quarters and a Medieval window was discovered during the building work. Just imagine your wedding photographs showing you and your wedding guests in such a beautiful setting, surrounded by history and romance. Where else could you match the timeless splendour of The Bedford Hotel?
Location.. situated in Tavistock on the edge of Dartmoor National Park we find many of our brides & grooms are from Plymouth, Launceston, Tavistock, Okehampton and Dartmoor Villages.
