SUNDAY 2

10:30: 3hr Walk, Kelly Mine (Trenchford Reservoir Car Park, Bullaton Cross) The first reference of this mine being worked was in 1797,with it finally closing in 1951. Curiously it was probably the last mine in Britain to use candles for underground lighting along with drilling by hand. Come on this tour to find out more.

10:30: 6hr Walk, High Moor Walk To Cranmere Pool (Okehampton Moor) This popular walk provides an opportunity to strike out into the heart of Dartmoor in the company of an experienced guide.

11:00: 5hr Walk, The Forest On The Hill (Haytor, Lower Car Park) The story of a Dartmoor novel. Join local guide Phil Page as he explores some of the locations used in the book 'Forest on the Hill' by Eden Philpotts. During lunch (please bring a packed lunch) delve into Phil's extensive archive of information about Eden Philpotts and the Yarner Wood area.

FRIDAY 14

09:30: 6hr Walk, Duck's Pool Or Bust (Princetown) This Challenging walk will be 6hrs + and as the title suggests the goal is to reach Duck's Pool Pool and back as a circular route. A good level of fitness is required to complete this walk and appropriate out door clothing and footwear.
