Please bring a torch. FRIDAY 1010:30: 6hr Walk, Heathercombe & Hameldown (Widecombe-In-The-Moor) SATURDAY 1110:15: 3hr Walk, Dartmoor Rock Walk (Postbridge) Explore the creation of Dartmoor’s distinctive granite rock. 11:00: 6hr Walk, High Moor Walk (Meldon Reservoir) SUNDAY 1211:00: 4hr Walk, Exploring Holne Moor (Venford Reservoir) MONDAY 1314:00: 3hr Walk, Nature In The Bovey Valley (Trendlebere) This gentle nature walk takes in part of the East Dartmoor Woods and Heaths National Nature Reserve, designated by English Nature but partly owned and managed by the Dartmoor National Park Authority and the Woodland Trust. TUESDAY 1410:30: 4hr Walk, Butterdon Hill And Cranbrook Castle (Moretonhampstead) WEDNESDAY 1510:00: 3hr Walk, Granite To Clay (Shaugh Bridge) 20:00: 3hr Walk, Wildlife At Dusk (Trendlebere) Please bring binoculars and do not wear brightly coloured clothing. SATURDAY 1810:45: 2hr Stroll, Easy Going Stroll To Avon Dam (Shipley Bridge) A stroll suitable for all. 11:30: 4hr Walk, Railways & Quarries (Princetown) SUNDAY 1910:30: 6hr Walk, Rifle Ranges & Moorland Views (Willsworthy) 14:00: 1.5hr Stroll, Historic Farmstead Visit (Trenchford Reservoir Car Park, Bullaton Cross) Visit Bullaton historic farmstead and learn more about Dartmoor's farming history. You will encounter an interesting array of farmyard buildings including a threshing barn, a linhay and granary as well as examples of early farm machinery. MONDAY 2009:30: 6hr Walk, Cranmere Pool Or Bust (Fernworthy Reservoir) This Challenging walk will be 6hrs + and as the title suggests the goal is to reach Cranmere Pool and back as a circular route. A good level of fitness is required to complete this walk and appropriate out door clothing and footwear. TUESDAY 2110:15: 2hr Stroll, Introduction To Dartmoor (Newbridge) A Family stroll at a relaxed pace, suitable for those wishing to take children. WEDNESDAY 2209:30: 6hr Walk, Moorland Walk (Merrivale, Four Winds) THURSDAY 2309:30: 5hr Walk, South Hessary & Crock Of Gold (Princetown) Visit the ancient bronze age burial site known as 'Crock of Gold' as part of this walk, one of only a few named kistvaens on Dartmoor. FRIDAY 2411:00: 4hr Walk, Leats, Mines And Railways (Bedford Bridge) 13:30: 3hr Walk, Butterflies (Trendlebere) Dartmoor has several important sites for certain butterfly species including three species of fritillary butterflies. Bring binoculars and do not wear brightly coloured clothing SATURDAY 2511:00: 5hr Walk, Moorland Walk (Princetown) SUNDAY 2610:30: 3hr Walk, Archaeology Of Haytor Down (Haytor, Lower Car Park) Enjoy the area around one of Dartmoor's best known tors, making the most of the spectacular views, the quarries and the unique tramway made of granite setts. 10:45: 3hr Walk, Prehistory Around Postbridge (Postbridge) 11:00: 4hr Stroll, Picnic Walk - National Parks Week (Sharpitor) Enjoy lunch at a secluded spot on this walk. WEDNESDAY 2914:00: 2hr Stroll, Wildlife Of The Moorland Fringe (Lydford High Down) A stroll to look at the wildlife and plants found on the edge of the moors, including the world's largest colony of the Vigur's Eyebright flower and the insectivorous plants and damselflies which occur in Dartmoor mires!
