A Christmas Break at The Bedford Hotel
Plan your escape this festive season, with a perfect Christmas Break at the historic Bedford Hotel in the heart of the Devon market town of Tavistock. Fine food, warm hospitality, and festive trimmings, in the exceptionally elegant and welcoming surroundings of The Bedford Hotel.
Choose from a four night Christmas Break arriving on Thursday 23rd December, or a three night break arriving on Christmas Eve. Whichever break you choose, you'll enjoy a comfortable room, dinner each evening, a fabulously traditional Christmas Day Lunch, and our full Devon Breakfast each morning. We've lined up some other festive treats for you to enjoy too during your stay with us this Christmas.
When you're ready to stretch your legs, step outside and explore our beautiful Devon and the spectacular Dartmoor National Park, where you'll find all the fresh air and wide open space you need right now.
You can relax in the knowledge that you're in very safe hands - with all the additional precautions and sanitisation measures you'd expect in order to keep you safe and comfortable.

If you’re arriving today, you can look forward to our Christmas Wine Tasting Dinner this evening. We’ll have a delicious four-course set-menu dinner for you to enjoy, and our wine expert will be introducing a carefully-matched wine with each course. What better way to start the festivities?
Christmas Eve - Friday 24th December
The Christmas festivities begin in earnest, with a distinctly indulgent four-course candlelit dinner, followed by the chance to have a flutter at the casino tables – just for fun!
Christmas Day - Saturday 25th December
Happy Christmas! Start the day with our hearty Devon Breakfast – but be sure to leave room for our sumptuous and traditional Six Course Christmas Day Lunch. Enjoy a lazy afternoon in our warm lounges, and look forward to Chef’s delicious cold cold buffet supper, followed by movie night with ice cream and popcorn.
Boxing Day - Sunday 26th December
Enjoy a guided stroll around some of Tavistock’s historic highlights after breakfast, and for something a little different, there’s laser clay pigeon shooting at our sister hotel, the Two Bridges Hotel (transport not provided). In the evening, choose a memorable Murder Mystery Dinner at our sister hotel, the Two Bridges Hotel (transport not provided) or a relaxed dinner in the comfortable surroundings of The Bedford Hotel.
Monday 27th December
Take your time over a lazy breakfast. We’ll be sorry to say farewell – perhaps we can tempt you to stay another night or two, from £62 per person per night, including breakfast.
