Tavistock's annual celebration of music, literature and drama
Tavistock will once again be alive with song, music, literature, art and drama, with the Tavistock Festival 2018, taking place throughout the town during April and May. The Bedford Hotel is proud to be the host venue for a number of inspirational and enjoyable events during the Tavistock Festival.  Hope you can join us!

Saturday 21st April – Sophie Neville – The Making of “Swallows and Amazons”
Sophie Neville, President of the Arthur Ransome Society and “Titty” in the 1974 film of “Swallows and Amazons”, gives an illustrated talk on the film and her career in television.
The Bedford Hotel, 2:30pm.

Sunday 29th April – Martin Dale Jazz Trio
Jazz standards from the American Song Book and well known Bossa Novas and Ballads, on sax, piano and string bass.
The Bedford Hotel, 7:30pm for 8:00pm.

Monday 30th April – Alan Bennett Monologues and Supper
Readings by members of the Tavonians Theatre Company of two of Alan Bennett’s “Talking Heads” monologues, with a two course supper in the interval.
The Bedford Hotel, 7:00pm for 7:30pm.
Tickets £20 from The Bedford Hotel (or £8 on the door, with supper available separately from the bar).

Saturday 5th May – Festival Gala Supper
A two course supper, with performances of two of Alan Bennett’s “Talking Heads” monologues, by the Tavonians Theatre Company.
